Ingredients that you need to make the best vegan chocolate chip cookie ever:
This polish 80% dark chocolate is by far my absolute favorite! It is creamy and rich
Almond flour – I didn’t have almond flour and I find that this flour is quite expensive! I simply used to blanch almond flakes and use a coffee grinder to blitz them into flour! You can also use your blender to do it.
Oat flour – just 1 tablespoon of ground oats
Rapeseed oil– I used vegan butter before instead and it was equally delicious but they cook a bit faster with vegan butter so watch out.
Maple syrup – you can substitute it for any other liquid sweetener.
Plant milk – I used oat milk
Dark chocolate – you want to use the best-tasting chocolate for this cookie. It is single-serve after all so treat yourself!
Apple cider vinegar -optional but recommended for tenderness
baking powder and salt
corn starch – I find that it adds a little more tenderness
TIPS to perfect vegan chocolate chip cookie
There are a few extra tips you can follow to make perfect cookies.
- Make sure all of your ingredients are at room temperature before beginning to bake. Room-temperature ingredients mix more easily and produce a more consistent batter.
- Be precise with your measuring. Baking is a science, so making sure you have the correct measurements of each ingredient is crucial in the final outcome of your cookies.
- Don’t overmix! Overmixing the batter will produce tough cookies. Mix just until all the ingredients are combined – no more, no less.

Can I make this into multiple cookies instead of one big one?
Smaller cookies will bake faster, so check them at around 6-8 minutes. They should be lightly golden around the edges when done.
Can I double this recipe?
Yes, you can absolutely double the recipe! Just keep an eye on the baking time, as a slightly larger cookie may need a minute or two longer in the oven.
